Shipping
We ship our licorice in principle to every country in the world.
Shipping costs depend on the weight and the country to which it is shipped. You can easily check the shipping costs of your order in your shopping cart.
These costs are calculated by weight class:
0-2 kg
2-5 kg
5-10 kg
10-20 kg
For international orders we calculate the cost of shipping, taxes and duties upfront, so that you don’t have any additional fees when your order arrives. You will find the shipping cost for your specific order when you indicate your address in the shopping cart.
Please note, duties and other international shipping charges are non-refundable.
We aim to have your order delivered within 48 hours in the Netherlands. If your order is in before 16:00 GMT+1 we can begin to processing your package that same day. This is not applicable for orders on Fridays, Saturday, Sundays and Holidays, those may take longer. (we try, but we don’t always succeed).
Please note that your order will not be send out before all items are in stock and your payment has been received. We will be in touch with you about both issues if at hand.
You’ll be notified and receive a tracking number for the shipment by email.
International orders typically take 5-10 days to process, to ship and to clear customs. Delivery times can vary within each country, depending on the content and origin of the shipment.

We will contact you a.s.a.p to let you know if the change can still be made. In case the order has already been send out, it will not be possible to change the address anymore.
Retour
We are not responsible for return shipping on international orders and are unable to provide a label or reimburse for international return shipping charges.
Payment information
We offer 3 methods of payment:

We send your order after receiving the payment. Normally, that is a day later with direct bank transfer than with the other payment methods.
Allergies
We strive to ensure that our licorice does not contain synthetic raw materials. The exceptions are the ocean licorice and pectoral. One of their polish agents includes paraffin.
The coloring listed in the Ingredients as E150 or E150c is caramel, a.k.a browned sugar.
Some types of licorice are produced with wheat flour or wheat starch. These are not gluten-free. Please make sure you check the ingredients list before purchase!

Our licorice is IFS, BRC and HACCP certified. Before the product leaves the factory, all major norms for hygiene, production have been met, with a consistently high quality.
During the production process, hygiene and quality are paramount. At each step of the production process, controllers continuously test the products. This way you will always order high quality licorice.
Traditionally Arabic gum was used as binder in licorice. Modern production techniques have changed this and nowadays gelatin and starch more commonly used. This is double unfortunate, because licorice with Arabic gum is delicious. It gives licorice the old-fashioned rich flavor of the past.
So nowadays most types of licorice contain gelatin and starch as a binder. As a result, licorice with gelatin is not suitable for the vegetarian and vegan lifestyle.
Beeswax is sometimes used as polish. As a result, these types of licorice are not suitable for vegans.

History of black licorice
